Admiration

Our task set before us today was to write about and interview someone whom we admire and look to for insight and inspiration. I have many people in my life whom I admire and look to for these things in different parts of my life. My mother, father, wife, and grandmother all play crucial rolls in my life as well as extended family members. I chose to write and interview my younger brother today though as he is my coach and the one who pushes me the hardest to succeed.

Zach Debolt is one of the most incredible people I have had the pleasure of knowing in my life. I have been even more fortunate that he happens to be my brother. Zach has always had my back like any brother should. No matter what I have ever done he has always been there to support me. We have grown up together as brothers and best friends from day one.

In recent years we have been able to become closer than ever before in finding common goals, interests,  sharing ideas and life lessons. A little over a year ago about my family and I embarked on a journey to change our lives. We had all let things get far to out of hand with our health. Packing on pounds, adding new medications to treat preventable problems and heading down the overall wrong path. We all made the choice to change our lives and live a much healthier existence.

Zach, has played one if not the biggest roll in keeping all of us motivated and pushing harder no matter what. His accomplishments are nothing short of amazing. I can't express how proud I am of my little brother. He truly is an inspiration to everyone he meets. I love my brother and best friend more than he will ever know.

Below you will find some questions asked with the responses from my bro.

Philosophy on life |
Live to learn. Be better today in comparison to who you were yesterday. Lead a life influenced by the betterment of mind and body through positive thought and application.

Quote to live by |
|”Be the change you want to see in the world.”|
|”Don’t just talk about it. Be about it.”|
|”Open your mind before opening your mouth.”|

When given a life challenge; how do you face it? |
When challenged it is normal for emotion to run high. It is important to calm the emotional mind by intellectualizing the emotion. Be rational, be logical, and be mindful. Devising a solution to a life challenge in an overwhelmed state of emotion can lead to devastating consequences. Always keep in mind what is most important in an effort to override the urgency of the emotional response.

How do you make sure you stick to your goal? |
This, again, is a matter of importance over urgency. You must focus on the achievement of the goal to which you set by disallowing competing distractors to alter your attention, drive, and determination. When attempting to meet a goal; you must ask yourself if what you are planning on doing is to the benefit or detriment of the goal.

What mental and physical tools assisted you in accomplishing the goal? |
The most important tool you have is your mind. If you can conquer your mind and achieve a positive mental state then there are no boundaries. Your largest accomplishment will come when you rid your mind of negativity, aggression, resentment, anger, jealousy, greed, and hatred. These emotions are powerful detractors and create a divisionist mindset. They seek separation and put you at odds in your journey to unify and meld mind and body. There are no limits upon a mind that is undeterred by surrounding negative influence. Calm, collected, and at peace within itself is the mind of one that knows no limitations.

What did you learn from your journey? |
I’ve found it most beneficial to open my mind in an effort to allow for the most efficient intake of new information. This world is incredibly well connected and networked and is begging for your input and experience to assist those seeking their own development. You are assuredly not the first to undertake a change of lifestyle and it’s most beneficial to the progression and advancement of others to share the developments you achieve. Make the most of every moment because you are trading time from your life for those moments. Time is finite and mustn't be wasted on petty, insignificant, trivial, and irrelevant dealings.
Remain steadfast in your pursuit. The past is in the past where it belongs. You have today, you have this moment and it is within your ability to act favorably to better your tomorrow.

My brother has always been willing to share his story, successes, advice and inspiration with anyone. He keeps me pushing harder especially when he knows I want to quit. I look to him for advice and he always delivers never asking for anything in return.

So I leave you with this....Be careful who's advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it for free.

!!!No Limits No Excuses!!!
